The cat sleeps in the sun

Nesta is calling for me to come look out the front window to see the birds on the feeder. She is happy we're home. She meows these short snappy soft sounds of delight. . . . Here is a picture of her birdwatching on an ordinary day.

The cat sleeps happily in the sun,
Unconcerned about shadow,
Contented, nothing to gain.
People could learn from that,
but will they?
